OUR MISSION The future is now when it comes to educating our children and ourselves on using environmentally friendly products to help reduce pollution and global warming.  There is much attention in the media on "going green" but how do we do it? With a grade school daughter, and lots of school fund-raisers for wrapping paper, pies, etc., we felt there's got to be a better way. We wanted to create a win-win situation for everyone. We want to offer a simple product that helps us "go green" with no major lifestyle change or huge financial commitment that would work for school and organizational fund-raisers. Having recently switched to reusable grocery bags ourselves, and after a little research, we decided to start imaginegreenbags. Our goal is to give schools and organizations a chance to raise money and promote environmental solutions to problems our planet faces and brand themselves as "going green". WHY REUSABLE BAGS  They are an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic and paper bags. Reusable bags are made from recycled plastic and are recyclable. Reusable bags last about two years. Used twice a week for two years, each reusable bag replaces about 700-800 plastic bags. WHAT'S WRONG WITH PLASTIC AND PAPER BAGS? -Plastic bags are costing our municipalities millions of dollars in disposal costs resulting in high taxes for us. -Plastic bags take 500-1000 years to degrade leaving toxins in the ground and water. -About 100,000 marine animals are killed annually by plastic bags. -Plastic bags require hundreds of times more petroleum to produce compared to the life of one recycled bag. -Paper bags emit 70% more global warming gases and 50% more water pollution than plastic bags during manufacturing. -Paper bags do not biodegrade in landfill. -14 million trees are lost each year from paper bag manufacturing.  OUR PRODUCT AND SERVICES  Our bags are made from environmentally friendly recycled non-woven polypropylene. Our large grocery bag is 16"x14"x8.5" gusset with reinforced handles. We can create a customized bag based on your requirements for your event or fund-raiser. Your logo can be printed on one or two sides in 1-3 colors. Small minimum orders (250) are accepted.  Imagine how simple it is to make a difference!
